I've looked at several ab books and this one seems to be the simplest and most useful one I've seen. Jhon takes you step by step through some basic core conditioning exercises. Yes, we may all want to have "6-pack abs", but he points out that core conditioning is important regardless of whether your abs will be visible or not.
The photos are simple illustrations of his clear instructions, which I found very helpful. I also appreciate the inclusion of back exercises, which are very important for balancing increased ab strength.

I've been meaning to get myself trim, especially in the abdominal area so I read this book wanting to get some tips on how to flatten my tummy. The wealth of information I received was more than I could ask for. I love how the author included diagrams to really break everything down. The instructional pictures really help when you're trying to mimic the exercise routines. I was able to notice a difference in my abs within just a few days of following these exercises. This was the perfect abdominal exercise book for me. It was both informative and easy to use with lots of explanations and illustrations. The book makes it palatable to follow the routine even though some of the exercises are tough, some I won't get to until much later. But I am noticing a difference after just a few weeks, especially in the are of energy and stamina. This has been a very helpful book.

All the exercises are explained clearly and with photographs and so are very easy to follow. All can be done at home and need no special equipment - which I like. The exercises are graded in difficulty and are divided into sections depending on which muscles they work. The sections are Core Excercises, for the Front Abdominal muscles, Side Abdominal muscles and Back muscles.

Is a phenomenal guide for anyone who is interested in working on bettering their abdominal area and their personal fitness. The exercises and advice in the book have worked wonders for me so far. Quite honestly, before reading this I had trouble understanding what was really needed to tone my stomach to the level I wanted to. I did not understand how to work out effectively and was not interested in paying to have a personal trainer teach me. One thing that I loved about this book is that it does a fantastic job of breaking down the different abdominal muscles and explaining how to train and strengthen each one with specific, targeted exercises. Best of all, you don't need any special equipment to do the workouts! This has made consistently working out a much more realistic task for me because everything can be done in the comfort of my own home.

The exercises are practical and simple. There is no learning how to use different machines, props or pieces of equipment. Quite literally all you will need is yourself and preferably a mat on the floor. I found this to be extremely helpful because exercises that require different objects or equipment can be hard to remember and inconvenient because you must be in a gym facility to work out. On top of being simple, they are practical in that anyone can do the workouts and do so at their own pace.
